Entre el 23 y el 27 de noviembre tuve el enorme privilegio de viajar a la Antártida para correr un maratón, entrando así en el club ¨7 Continents Marathon Club¨ para korrikolaris que han completado la distancia mítica en los 7 continentes. Es difícil expresar con palabras la belleza del lugar y la camaradería y buen ambiente que hubo entre los 52 corredores y la organización, haciendo de esta una de las mejores experiencias de mi vida.

 

En este video cuento un poco lo que fueron esos días en la Antártida. Refleja en dos dimensiones lo que allá se puede encontrar, pero es imposible contar lo que vivimos los participantes a 79°46´S 82°52´O.

 

Quiero dedicar este maratón a las ONGs españolas Fundación Kupu-Kupu (Bali) y Proyecto Harapan (Sumbawa) por el maravilloso trabajo que están haciendo en Indonesia. ¡Mucho ánimo Begoña, Carlos y todos los que sois parte de ese gran trabajo!

From November 23-27 I had the huge privilege of traveling to Antarctica to run a marathon, entering afterwards the ¨7 Continents Marathon Club¨ for runners who have completed the mythical distance in the 7 continents. It is impossible to express in words the beauty of that place and the camaraderie and good atmosphere that existed among the 52 runners and the organization, making of this one of the best experiences in my life.

 

In this video I tell a little bit –sorry, in Spanish- those 5 days in Antarctica. It shows in 2-D what you can find there, but what the participants lived over there is above words and images. Thanks fellow runners and organization for an awesome experience! You are great people!

 

I want to dedicate this marathon to two Spanish NGOs, Kupu-Kupu Foundation and Harapan Project, for the wonderful work that they are doing in Indonesia. All the best to Begoña, Carlos and all of you involved in these service projects!
